Serena Confalonieri


After a master Degree in Interior Design at Politecnico di Milano, Serena Confalonieri (1980) worked in many architecture and design practices in Milan, Barcelona and Berlin.
Now she's an indipendent designer based in Milan, working on interior, graphic and textile design project and collaborating with important companies such Nodus, cc-tapis, Wall&decò, Arzberg (Sabonnet/ Rosenthal group) and ex-novo.
Her works are placed inbetween product and graphic design: an accurate research on surfaces is always present in her project.
In 2006 her master Degree project reveives an honourable mention from Raymond Loewy Foundation, in the meantime she starts her teaching activity collaboration with arch. Giampiero Bosoni and IcoMigliore at the Interior Design faculty of Politecnico di Milano (until 2012).
Then she start her collaboration with ps+Paloma Serafini Associati as graphic designer consultant.
From 2104 she is part of the design collective Padiglione Italia: her work is part of Disfunzione mediterranea exhibition at the Milano Design Week.
She also gets a Menntion of Honour to the designer at the Young&Design Award 2014, thanks to her projects Santissimi and Cattedrale, both part of Ambrosiana collection presented during Milano Design Week 2014.
Starting from October 2014, thanks to a professional scholarship, she is working on a research project in collaboration with textile and designcompanies in New York City. She's just been shortlisted for German Design award thanks to her tableware project for Arzberg.
